3. Florida insurance premiums could rise when new FEMA flood maps are adopted. The last update to the map was in 2009. Some property owners will see increases in their premiums (about 1%) while about 3% of property owners will have their flooding potential lowered. (Tampa Patch)

4. Changes are coming to TSA boarding. Travelers will be able to keep boarding passes in their bags. Around 30,000 travelers pass through the Tampa International Airport every day. (WTSP)

5. Florida added 151,415 coronavirus cases and 1,071 deaths in the past week from August 6th to August 12th. The total number of cases since the pandemic started in Florida is 2,877,214 and the death count has reached 40,766. (Tampa Bay Times)
